Have any of you started a second service?

My wife and I are in a revitalizing work. We're happy with significant growth that we've seen but almost none of the new people are under 40 years old, and the ones that were here when we got here were much older than 40 (think having received S.S. checks for a decade)
It's not that the community is a retirement community or something; over 55% of the people who live here are under 44 years old. So we're just not connecting. To deal with this I want to start a second service (the new wineskin thing).
Have any of you done this? Any advice? (I've already got Win Arn's book, Starting a New Service and I've done the download of Nelson Searcy's stuff.)
Help would be appreciated.

I would think starting a new service would be a good way. Think of it like planting a church within another church. Instead of just opening up the doors for a new service recruit a planting team and plan your launch. That way you can open the new service with some energy and momentum. It would all depend what kind of team you have now. If you have a young team that will reach other younger people you are good to go, but opening a modern service with older people probably won't bring in any new people either.
Take some time to think it through.
Thanks for stopping by and joining the forums Think have been kinda slow on the board for a while but still think there is a need for a place like this. Let your friends know about it. Church Revite is one of the hardest jobs out there in the pastoral world.
