I will be taking the forum offline soon.  While we have a lot of traffic reviewing the information, there is not much discussion happening on the board.  I have been seeing an increase in SPAM members.  I will be saving converting the information to a blog format.  Send me an email if you have any questions.

Welcome to the forum!

Not always a lot of activity on the boards but there is a ton of good information here and we get steady traffic looking in.  Glad you stopped by.

I would think starting a new service would be a good way.  Think of it like planting a church within another church.  Instead of just opening up the doors for a new service recruit a planting team and plan your launch.  That way you can open the new service with some energy and momentum.  It would all depend what kind of team you have now.  If you have a young team that will reach other younger people you are good to go, but opening a modern service with older people probably won't bring in any new people either.

Take some time to think it through.

Thanks for stopping by and joining the forums  Think have been kinda slow on the board for a while but still think there is a need for a place like this.  Let your friends know about it.  Church Revite is one of the hardest jobs out there in the pastoral world.

My wife and I are in a revitalizing work. We're happy with significant growth that we've seen but almost none of the new people are under 40 years old, and the ones that were here when we got here were much older than 40 (think having received S.S. checks for a decade)

It's not that the community is a retirement community or something; over 55% of the people who live here are under 44 years old. So we're just not connecting. To deal with this I want to start a second service (the new wineskin thing).

Have any of you done this? Any advice? (I've already got Win Arn's book, Starting a New Service and I've done the download of Nelson Searcy's stuff.)

Help would be appreciated.

I am going with a team to Nicaragua this Friday and would appreciate your prayers for our team that we would stay healthy and safe.  Also prayer that we may love and serve this community and have opportunities to share the hope within us.

We are going to be building a Pastors house in Las Bandaras.  This is the same community we were in last year to build the church.

Thanks!

I have been using StatCounter as my main stats tracker but recently when I logged in to my websites stats (Inmotion hosting) it gave me way more useful information.  I was shocked to find out that last month I had over three download or clicks on mp3 files.  That's incredible.   Shocked I also had over 800 hits to my xml file (this is the file that rss feedburners or itunes etc. use to find information for podcasting or blogging.

I am looking for a way to get more info from the hits on the xml files.  Does anyone know of a stat tracker that works with xml files??
